What's all the fuzz about pilates?
"I have been in a size 6 to 8 for some time until I started your classes. My summer uniform is stretch pencil skirts from Banana Republic and sandals. Well, I passed my size 6 skirts onto my daughter who just went back to work and went to Banana today to replace them. I fit into a SIZE TWO with room to spare. Doing my happy dance!!! "Soul Body Works has truly been a turning point for me in my recovery. A little back ground - I'm 34 years old and have had 2 major back surgeries since 2014. The second was supposed to fix the first and ended up leaving me disabled. I woke up from surgery unable to feel or move my left leg. It was pretty bad. Within 24 hours of being home from the hospital I fell and broke my right arm and ended up back in the hospital. That time I stayed for a week. They found a strep infection in my spine and in my leg. I was on an IV antibiotic for 2 months. It took about 6 months for me to be able to walk with a cane. The doctors told me there was nothing else they could do and that my next step was pain management. So... now here I am. I was very fit before my injury and worked out a lot. It's been a huge adjustment trying to physically get through a day and no way I could get back to my former fitness regimen. I'm in constant pain from the failed surgery and femoral nerve damage. I have facet disease and degenerative disc disease. I have arthritis in my hips as well as bulged discs in my back and neck. Anyway, one night I got the crazy idea to find a Pilates studio so I could start treating myself for pain with Pilates. When I didn't show to my appointment, studio owner Tricia called me and I told her my story. We worked very closely and professionally with me knowing I was pretty fragile. I still struggle every day but I am physically getting better. I had a recent set back but I'm back on track and back in the studio. Just walking through the door makes me feel a sense of ease and all the girls there are amazing. When I missed a couple of classes I had several ladies call me just to check on me. These are complete strangers who had only met me a couple of times. They all truly do care. If you've read this far you deserve a gold star. I know it's a super long post. I just want to share my experience so if there is any one out there who is struggling physically just know that at Soul Body Works you're in great hands."

"I was having one of those weeks when I couldn't seem to fit Pilates classes into my schedule, so I decided to give Open Studio a try. It was a great decision! I get to come in at times that are convenient for me and follow a guided workout using the studio iPad. I'm not the most electronically sophisticated person, but it was no problem getting set up, and the workouts are great!”
